Austin Film Festival
This months sees the 14th annual film festival in Austin, TX and we joined in to experience it for ourselves. This festival is like no other that we've attended and would highly recommend to any budding writer or film maker to make sure you attend this festival. Becasue it is directed more towards writers this fest is possibly least pretentious festival we've been to as it focuses on the raw talent of the unspoken heros of film rather than the stars who are infront of the camera (though many fine actors were still there). This year we were able to spend time with the likes of Oliver Stone (Platoon / Born on the Fourth of July / JFK), have dinner with Dan Petrie Jr (Beverly Hills Cops / Turner & Hooch / Toy Soldiers), enjoy some time with Pixar's Kiel Murray (Cars / The Incredibles), as well as make friends with many talented writers and film makers from across the globe!

We are proud to launch our new and exciting website, offering the same great service to directors and producers with the added benefit of creative tools and tips specifically for film composers.
Movielines Music Chosen For 10 Years of Monkey Business
Following the success of the new TV series Monkey Life, Movielines Music will commence working on a 65 minute documentary on the work of Jim and Alison Cronin who have set up the world's largest Primate Rescue Center. The documentary, which was shot over the past 10 years, and was better known as, 'Monkey Business', was one of Animal Planet / Meridian TV's most successful documentary TV series. Sadly, Jim Cronin passed away suddenly earlier this year at the age of 55. We at Movielines Music feel honored to score the last 10 years of the wonderful achievements of such an amazing couple. The DVD is scheduled for release during November.
